It would have been so easy for Yang to keep the bike and no one would even have known about it.

Maybe it was not his size. And of course in Moz you need dual suspension' date=' a HT is just murder.

I wonder what those okes will think when they get a flat tyre and try to change the tube...

Good news stories rockClapClapClap

Well done Yang, not a lot of your type around

I have always believed that the Hub has a bigger purpose than just talking crap and spending money.

Put some spice in Supercycling by taking this story to them , I'm sure we'll soon be finding much more stolen bikes, and not just in Moz.

Wow- overwhelmed at the interest. I feel my delusions of my grandeur are becoming even more pronounced.Big%20smile Have started a response a few times this morning before being dragged off by some demand or other, and yet to find enough discretionary time to give justice to your posts. The episode has not yet finished, and am in the process of negotiating a "reward" with the thief, through an intermediary who has a "bike shop" in the village here. Will give details when I have a chance. In the meantime I loaded up the bike and it is now safely a guest in my house regailing my bikes with stories about the Epic, showing off its war scars to the bike smelling nice with Mr Min's Pot Pourri (I only ride females).....................................

Yang where in moz are you ?

I was driving back from Kruger on sunday and passing all those overloaded bakkies and trailers i could see how a bike could sneak cross border. If i was a customs official i wouldnt want to unpack those things

ROCK OUT WITH YOUR ......OUT! hahaha. Guys next edition of Tread is coming REAAAAL soon, Sean is working his whatnot off on it right now. The full story of the recovery is not yet told, it is still 'breaking news' but suffice to say I have entered the Imvula and won't be going to the Kremetart - so I can meet Yang and get Mrs Epic back. I'll start the story on the Tread website so long on my blog and will keep you posted of how it unrolls from here. Hopefully unlike toilet paper, but who knows.

LOL, Africa's an interesting place. Best you organise this reward ASAP or the thief will run off to the National Union of Thieves to lay a complaint.

Cool to hear you got the bike back. Now i can stop patrolling the neighbourhood eyeing out suspicious looking cyclists, the east rand is full of them. scotty2009-05-27 05:45:48

I have always wondered.....what do you say to the person that has his paws on your beloved??? "Um can you please step away from my bike you *^(*%^$$ thief?"

You should always carry one you never know when there's an opportunity to help a lady in distress.
or just cycle with Dirty Twin. Big%20smile
