Honestly I don't see why he has to apologise.  He stated his facts (as was available to him' date=' I hope), and DCM had ample opportunity to state their side of the story - and failed to do so.  Personally he didn't have much choice in the matter - going public was the only way to put some sort of pressure on them.

apart from the extra fact about having to subcontract, which he has pointed out now. if the man feels it is the right thing for him to do, then it's the right thing to do?

I agree to certain degree.

They could have notified him earlier in regards to what is happening with his payment.

If his threads caused damage to their public image its due to the hubbers saying what they say. .  he cant be held responsible for that.

Agreed, he had the right to go public, but it was done in a agressive and distasteful manner, which now required the apology.  There are ways to do things, and there are ways not to...

When I do a job, and sub-contract a certain portion out to someone it's none of the clients' business, as long as I am there to ensure the job was done properly.  The sub-contractor however deserves to be given a PK for sending DCM the invoices directly.  Their contract was with Tiger Cycles, not with DCM, so they had no right to invoice them.  If they weren't paid in the time agreed upon, they should have taken it up with Tiger, not DCM.

I'm sorry Tiger, and I do not understand why other make remarks AS IF THE APOLOGY makes everything right.

You came here with your story, published it on a public forum and try to put them in a bad light

You should be learned a lesson and other teams should take note of this and never make use of you

These days every one thinks he can say what he want, and afterwards, come back with "Sorry"and everything should be hunky dorrie again?

Sorry, no respect for what you did !!!!!

Sorry Popeye, simple, the guy did the job, DCM Chrome must pay. They didn't...

That is the beginning of this whole thing. If you were not paid by a client, you would also complain...

Tiger has my Vote, I had these big companies that think small amounts are not important. One mans floor is another mans ceiling, I try and always remember that.

Eish pops, presume that next cold front has struck the cape already...  LOL

What is funny is how the big fishes has made the hubtonians apologise and walk away with the tails between the legs, tjanking like little puppies.  Ouch

You should come down off your high horse mate.

BTW it's "taught" a lesson.

It is easier to to appologise than to get permission!

You sound like an Adventure Race organiser mulling over whether to get permission to cross a farmers land or not. Smile

so after all the dust has settled - does an apology make up for the damage done ?

"sorry ma'am, I apologise for driving over your son. He jumped a red robot  cycling without a helmet while chatting on his cellphone."

Hey, we can learn from this!

Communication is the key.  Tiger made his point, very little from DCM in reply.  The subcontract was not the issue.  If there was honest communication all round it would have been solved much earlier.

Still think the apology by Tiger was the right thing because he feels it was the right thing.  How about an apology from DCM?

Well done Tiger

As this is a public forum, your post should carry the same weight as mine. A lot of valid points are being made on this thread - some of us are commending the apology, others are objecting to it and a couple are questioning the actions that lead to it.
