And there is quite a lot of storm damage at Tokai forest. I counted 3 fallen trees and loads of landslides and water cutting deep furrows into the tracks.

YES lots of it. I'm originally from the Hex River valley / De Doorns. The mountain there - Matroosberg (the highest mountain in the WC) so yeah its covered in snow.

Ceres the town is just a bit higher than our town so that why its snows on the ground there and at us it only knows about halfway down the mountain.

But it being a valley all the cold is trapped inside and its f'en cold. Living in Stellenbosch now so its much nicer - weather wise Big%20smile

An unpleasant week stay in Ceres seems to spring to mind. Beginning of Aug 2005.....OMG! We went there really unprepared with the clothing that we took. Didn't help staying in some cardboard box instead of a real building. Remember leaving the oven door open to get some heat....

Real pretty and I would have not minded the cold if I had a decent jacket with me....bored girl2009-06-25 07:49:51

Apparently, in Durbs, it'll be a 16 degree high tomorrow. Time to pull out the heaters. I don't even own clothing for cold weather like that. Big%20smile

George has the kind of cold that gets into your bones. You never really seem to dry out and even temperatures in the teens seems freezing here. I work in Oudtshoorn and even -2 degrees never seems quite as cold as the +5 degrees in George

One day when I grow up' date=' I want to cycle up the Outeniqua pass (Spelling?)

why would you want to cycle outeniqua pass, when there's a perfectly dirty montagu pass just next to it?

or even better, some perfectly working singletrack? <confused>

in this weather the freedom challengers are outside playing in the mud!

My friend is on the front of Die Burger getting pelted by a snowball.

I'm thinking of doing a snow mission into Ceres tomorrow, hope the snow lasts, otherwise going up Hans se kop on the mtb. Apparently there is snow in Jonkershoek as well.
