Kansas Posted September 27, 2009 Share first bike was a hot rock full suspension (yes I had a mtb) cost about R1500-00, some new balance takkies, topsport helmet some cateye sensor (only speed) no gloves,shades was tuff in the start not even father wanted to help me, hang in there. But our bikes did not have suspension forks and looked like something the greengrocer made deliveries with . Farmers took shots at us and mothers locked their daughters away . Unfortunatly it all turned very "civil" in the early 80's and everybody came out of the closet (well most anyway) . Cycling organizations came along and started to regulate the "sport" . Bat-ass Posted September 28, 2009 Share cruised the neighbourhood in the mid 80's on my Kuwahara BMX... got a Peugeot Mirage in high school, but didnt really take to road cycling then!!! 20 years later, if i dont get 10 hours a week in the saddle i freak out!!!
