So here's something thats worrying...

I've heard a little bird singing that another of the established bike shops in Jhb is on the way out . Apparently Illovo cycles are in a spot of bother. Does anyone know if this is true or is it just a malicious rumour??

Maybe I should stop ordering stuff from CRC, otherwise I'll have to service my own bike soon, and I'm a pen pusher, can hardly change a tyre myself.

Pride is a strange thing MD, I dont think any shopowner will admit if a member of the public randomly phones and asks how the relationship with the bank manager is doing????

It's sad to see any business go under. It's someones hopes and dreams, never mind what puts food on the table and clothes their kids. We need to do our best to support locally whilst not being ripped off. Go CWC Big%20smile. I still support my LBS however.

You'd be surprised. 99% of your average cyclists (pretrappers) dont buy from overseas.

I've just thought of a brilliant idea. Sweat shop style bike workshops. I'll import labour from Bangladesh, pay them in board and lodging and make sure all your bikes get serviced.

If anyone is interested in franchise opportunities just let me know.
