Gumpole Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 i think the argument that somebody wont dope becasue they know they will be tested (eg Astana) has been disproven over and over again... look at "the killer" What you can say is that when the best riders dope, they expect to be tested and pass due to advanced doping techniques, sometimes they get it wrong (riders + doctors, not the testers) and there are positives.

Every now and then one of them slips up and gets bust.

Falling twice on one stage ( 4 falls I know of in the Tour so far )and not even finishing in the top 50 in the ITT ( Just over a month ago nobody sould beat him in a ITT ). Doesn't make sense. If you take the stats from the last few year's Giro and Tour, either the winner or the runner up will get caught out for Doping. So either Contador, Andy or Lance are in a spot of trouble.
