First time that I am complaining about the Cape weather. It is now seriously starting to impact on the training time on the bike. Oh well, Gym, here I come....

I agree Wannabe, this weather is really irritating me. I didn't even bother going out this weekend. Now that is TWO weekends that I haven't gone for a ride.

COME ON SUMMER!!!

While we are at it - Marius boet, where can I get a good, but not too pricey, night riding light. I got that small one but that is pretty much for visibility. I am looking for one that I can ride in the dark with / and be a torch - that'll be the pitch to my wife so I can get it ;)

So after all the banter, you still want my advice

I use an OwlEye from CWC online - R599. Use it on our night rides and works very very well. Not as bright as those majiclights, but I won't pay R1k + for a light at the mo... and the OwlEye gets the job done, very well indeed...

Shot M. Will have a look. I see it's 210 lumins.... what can I compare it to?

Keep well boet, maybe see you the weekend.

I don't even know what a "lumin" is... but I know my light does the job :) Compared to the sun is sucks, but when it's dark... my OwlEye is AYOBA ;)

Let's hope the weekend weather predictions are wrong and we get a nice ride in...

Google Defenition of Lumen... :-)

a unit of luminous flux equal to the amount of light given out through a solid angle of 1 steradian by a point source of 1 candela intensity radiating uniformly in all directions

That I knew - but are there any charts that give an indication of how far the light travels as the luminous flux is increased, and what it's intensity / quality of light is?
