Guys I am in a bad way, I have been struggling with a bad chest for 6 months now and have just completed a dose of antibiotics and cortizone and I am still on an inhaler, who knows when I will be 100%.

Very frustrating not being able to ride properly with the manne.

Thanx for this note, udxcob.

I did miss you in the final half of the D Ville race and asked Domisse "Where is G....?"

Get stronger. Is it asthma, bronchitis or what?

Hope to see you next to me at great speeds soon!

That SUX man!! :o I just got over a flu bug that nailed me on Sunday evening leaving me feeling suupa K@K at work on Monday and I took yesterday off to recover.

I know how much it will frustrate you, but don't you think it would be wise to stop training for a while just to recover? The last thing you want to do is strain your body to the point that it actually becomes a life risk issue.

Hope you get back to 100% soon man - you not doing that Bianch proud ;)

Guys, I'm doing the Klein Joostenburg ride on Sunday, and will be pedaling through from TygerValley's side to get some decent miles in for the DC.

I'll be leaving from the cnr of Old Oak & Durban rd at +-5am (it's about 25-30km to the start from there).

Let me know if anyone is keen to ride along...

Anyone keen to join?

Why not get to your begin point a little later and wait for Tank, Fand and I to join you....I or Tank can always call you when we are on our way and where you are ?

Now don't take any shortcuts

Go out to the Silos and then turn right on the R304.

That will be a good rehearsal for the finish, so you can plan your attack nicely!

D Ville Riders:

There is a thread of a "Burger Route Training Ride".

I will be heading out on Saturday 20/11 for this ride.

It will be a good tapering ride for the DC.

Come along?

Starting time 06h30ish, Stellenbosch CBD.

We did the four passes today, in the rain up sir lowries and all the way to grabouw then it stopped, it was a wonderful ride considering the state of my chest

My DC team did a training ride this morning. A few of us (SirK included) cycled from home to starting point at VA in Greenpoint. From there we went over Houtbay, Chappies, straight over to Glencairn and joined up with Argus route. SirK and myself played lekka on the climbs, was feeling really good and strong. Stopped at a place just before start of "small" Chappies and had a breakfast. Not the best thing to do as my stomach and legs ended up fighting over my blood and I had "pap" legs all the way to Houtbay. Legs returned at foot of Suikerbossie, but I still did not push it too much going up. Was feeling strong all the way to the end at VA Greenpoint. Ended up with 156km for the morning.

Happy with that.

Thanks G. Congrats with your good race this morning. Next one for me is also DC. Plan to use the DC as ultra long training ride, not over exert myself, take a good rest the week after, and then try and nail The Burger.

The Burger Cycle Tour has a special place in my cyclist's heart.

It was ma 1st race evva. That is where I fell in love with cycling.

On my MTB, nogal!

They changed the route for a few yrs to the same self route of the Engen Dynamic.

Now it is back to the original route.

I cycled through to Klein Joostenberg, had a cracker of a ride (somehow racetec's timing seems way off), and then home via PolkaDraai... all of 170km... I is still broken :(
