Great stuff guys. Good that we all got on our bikes yesterday despite the "pomping" WIND!!

SirK, nothing worse than going through the downers when riding on your own, 85km alone, brave mate, well done

BigJ...... Where the heck have you been???? You been ignoring me have you, you did a serious distance, well done buddy. We gotta make a plan to meet up on the bike again

Lovely day for a ride guys, how was the Race this morning??

Hi SR,

Still doing my loops around Durbanville farms and on Saturdays ride with club. Not ignoring you at all - waiting for you to come and join me again for our 60km ride.

Glad to see you are also out there doing some good km's.

You going to do the 99er?

Lekka high-intensity stuff this morning, Manne...

Well done.

Sorry for underestimating the distance and timing a lil' bit.

BMC Fan, Dommisse, SirK and Wannabe - thanx for coming out!

Here are some images in the mist from the final ascent of Vissershok:

If you were taking the pics, that can only mean that you and the "dale" got to the top before everyone else

Well done

SirK,

Since you've ascented the most treacherous climb in Durbanville [No, TIekiedraai is not the toughest] which is Vissershok for the 1st time,

You are now "officially" a member of the D Ville Roadie clan. ;)

Well done, man!

So, what's your view of Vissershok?

A 'lil bit?! LOL. Off the top of my head, distance was 55Km, time was just over 2 hr - on the way back (at recovery pace) ave was 26.9Km

Was lekker though! Thx AirBender for the great route. Need to do Vissershok again before the 99'er.

See you guys in the mix this Sunday for one hell of a ride (those doing the bouckaert soenen).

Was good. What made it 'easier' was that the mist obscured the ascent so I never knew how much further I had to push. So in line with Dory (from 'Finding Nemo') it was a case of 'just keep pedaling, just keep pedaling' all the way up.

I billed it as a 30 km/h AVG ride.

If we went faster, we would have ridden for far less than 120 minutes.

:P

Cool!

And Uncle Odendaal - thoughts? :w00t:

Thanks for lovely ride, guys.

Pity you had to ease up a bit at times to allow me to get back into the group. Legs are tired from Sunday and yesterday morning's hill repeat session. Took Vissershok slow/ish, did not do Odendaals due to time constraints. Still had to negotiate Van Riebeeckshof and other small climbs up to my abode. Don't know if my Polar is out of wack, but I got home at an avg of just under 29km/h, 65km for the morning. What did you guys record?

Not too shabby, Nige!!

Was quite a rush to get ready and to work in time (Ok, was three minutes late)
