The definition of retro is inversely proportional to the age of the person inquiring, but the cut-off date is approximately equal to triple the square root of the number of years since taking ownership of ones first bike.

So, basically any bike that you can get nostalgic about!

Hi guys. I need some advise please. I have 2 old track bikes. A Claud Butler and a Geoffrey Butler from the 70’s. Just stripped the one to have it sprayed. I need to know, what is the best way to clean up the equipment and get it looking clean and newish again ? All Campagnolo group sets.

Tks

Post some pics - don't over restore if you don't have to!

I'll take some pics and post for some advise. The Claud a Butler is very scratched along the top tube. 30 years in a garage in amongst other bikes and wheels :-(

Frame picked up this evening. I'll try and get better pictures in the morning. It looks beautiful. ...

Watching with great interest as my own Colnago is hanging above my desk, waiting patiently for the collection of hens' teeth to be complete so that the build can start.

Colnago still make steel Master frames off the same 30 odd year old setup. Here's my baby.

Now how much real advantage would the latest carbon frame have over that, apart from weight?

That's a really nice bike, I can imagine it gives all the ride you could every need.
