Yup, it's a kirk precision magnesium frame. Have one in my storage, which I'm going to rebuild one day!

We need a photo of said storage unit.

This is my new "skelm". 1980's Alan Record. Got if for a bargain and only still need to remove the crank and chain. Paintwork is still in very good condition, lugs will need to be polished and forks and seat stays, sanded and polished. Then properly cleaned and serviced. That's it will keep you all posted. Campagnolo Rims, Shimano 105 Sti levers and derailers.

Aluminium Lugged forks... Scary stuff :)

Also just a side note, those frames never got painted, they are Anodized.

So be careful if you going to water paper the raw alu.

May be wise to do a bit of research before climbing into the frame.

Nice ride by the way.

I feel the same way about that new stuff they make bikes out of these days, you know that black glass fibre stuff!

I prefer my crack in another form, thanks

They don't look like Alan forks!!!

Alan forks were lugged, literally and had ALAN on the crown, or on the side of the crow.

Can you post some more pics

I think you right.

You know what forks they do look like, Cannondale did an aluminium fork called a SUB 1 back in the late 80's, early 90's.

Will try get a picture of one...

Could also be a Kinesis fork, they made one that looked similar.

A few closer pictures would be nice.

could also be one of those peugeot forks. Don't know if you remember the Peugeot ali bikes from the late 80s. Came in and many of them failed, so they sold off hundreds of them at R100 each as I recall, BUT NO WARRANTY!!!!

Guys bought them and just riveted the joints.

I had 2 of them
