If it had a 3speed, it would be exactly like one I used to ride to school!

except mine was black!

Edit: Sturmy Archer of  course

I rode the exact same one as this to school, no gears.

Black was the standard colour, some were done in an ugly green, and a few in red.

Hope this belongs here...

Hoooo. How much does that thing weigh? Amazing the weights we used to shift around as skinny little schoolkids ... but the youth of today! Etc, etc. Slowbee's looking for something comfy and upright for Audax - think this could be what he's after? Hehe.

What is the opinion on Rudge bikes. I've found two that need some love. Both are still as original as when they made the trip to SA from the UK.

While looking for a C Record FD online I cam across this site

http://www.cyclollector.com/gb/

Not much in stock, but prices are far less than eBay and postage is reasonable.

For those of you that hunt to interwebs!

edit: for example a VITUS 979 frame and fork for €170

I bought 6 pairs, cost me £38.48, including postage to SA. Pretty cheap for 6 pairs.

Thanks to a very generous Hubber (Le Turbo) who was willing to let me have a pair of classic Campy Shamal wheels at a very reasonable price, the Colnago Bititan is now another step closer to how I would like it to be. It runs like a dream on its new Continental Gatorskin tubbies and looks like the wheels were designed especially for it. It is my first ride to run tubbies, so, here's to no punctures!

Argue with me if you like, but bikes don't come much prettier than this.

Now, if anyone has a longish Campy aero seat post in 27,2 mm lying around for a reasonable price.......
