Hi guys,

Looking at selling my Retro, indoor trainer ride.

Nobody seems to be able to identify it but it is a late 80's/early 90's alloy road bike.

I will sell it as a bundle with he jetblack trainer and industrial fan.

PM for more detail, open to realistic offers.

Thought you were prototyping motor-doping for a second, with that fan drive! :whistling:

Good luck with the sale.

Some last minute training for Eroica: this gravel road riding is tough on the hands. Bike handled pretty well.

I did 16km on a rutted road this morning (first ride in 7 weeks, I'll tell you why on Friday). Just as well, handlebar came loose; seat pin lock nut broke and I broke!!!!!

Will do it again tomorrow, hopefully nothing more breaks.

Rutted roads are the pits, I might double up on bar tape.

Much better on my dual sus!

That's what I do on all bikes I intend to ride.

Shame Vic, you had some bad luck there.

Corrugations from vehicles driving on the road make it seriously uncomfortable for any bike without suspension. I think all of us bigger guys are going to take some strain. I think it'll be necessary to stop quite often on the Eroica ride, just to give the body some respite.

Hi, if it's brake levers you are looking for I have a set. They are not in 100% condition but you can have them for R350. Let me know?

So I stumbled across this thread and now the vintage bike bug has bitten!

My apologies for what is probably a re-re-repost, but where is a good place to start looking for a vintage steel frame? I'm hoping to find a Le Turbo in a 56cm or so (my dad had one so its pure nostalgia) but I am open to other brands.

Really keen to ride Eroica next year, so hopefully see a few of you chaps there!
