Hi bike bloke. I love this. For some reason i had also decided to do something with a long forgotten/ignored LeMans frameset that had just been standing around gathering dust. I probably never considered it worthy of a full rebuild before, but being fortunate enough to have picked up quite a few components at bargain prices, parts that were not being used for anything else, I thought i'd put her together and see what it would turn out like. Not too bad. Think I will be putting on a few miles on her this coming winter. Christened her "Pug" by the way

looks good for something built out of a bargain bin seanp :)

mine definitely requires some new tyres the old ones on her are 80s canvas wall 20cm conti slicks (they where all the rage and skinny as sh*t )

they where puncture prone when new and now they are like rat nests and flaking all over

as soon as I stick some new rubber on ill put some miles on her (like this weekend)

had forgotten how much fun it was to ride steel :)

I'd definetly stick with the gumball tyres if I were you. It just looks so cool on that frame.

Will those rims be able to handle 25mm tyres or max 23mm?

Wandered off to our Training Centre to see how the apprentices were doing and saw one of them commutes on this.

Pure 80's Hi-NRG Paintwork!  I didn't know Le Turbo even made "MTBs"

Very nice!

That looks like the one in after, but I'm actually after the LeJeune early 90s DirtBuster.

My old man was is busy getting a old Lejeune restored by Mr du Toit himself at the moment, so I'm going to ask him if he knows of any.

Eish. I need to pay more attention to detail. Sorry to get your hopes up.

Picked this up earlier this week from GT Fred and decided to build up as single speed...

Sandblasted / Powder coated Late 70's Le Jeune built up with a mix of mostly newer style bits I had lying around.

Managed to find an old Shimano Sante Crankset (also late 70's - sat between Shimano 600 and Dura ace i believe) and a matching saddle from the good folks at the cycle hub in Rietvlei.

All i need is a 26.4 mm seatpost and so far no suppliers / bike stores have been able to help...

Please fellow hubbers can anyone help me out / have a scratch around their garage? I need to get this bad boy out on the road!
