I looked back at some of my older ones last night, which made last Sundays Dome2Dome medal look really sh*te. I really would pay R50.00 extra race fee for a medal that is pleasing to look at...

Chrispy Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 A medal is something you win in a Championship race. Provincials, SA's, Commonwealth,Olympics or Worlds. The rest is a commemorative "medal" you can hang in the garage to make you feel good about yourself when you walk past it.

skaduwee Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 Well atleast you get some proof of your racing even if the quality issn't so good. Some of the smaller races dont even give medals. Or you get this piece of crap that says "bla bla 2007" and at the bottom it says something like "25km / 53km / 73km" but you rode the 90km.
