He's mail was confirmed to me by Ken,im not leaving it here and am seeking legal advise I from my lawyers,no threats to himself or family have been made by me,all i have asked him for is an apology,that still stands

Well then its all ok...seeing you went to the trouble of looking up and posting his wifes details as well why dont you send her emails too...and while you are about it phone her a couple of times.Lets see....what would you like to threaten her with hmmm?

When you wonder why charges are laid against you,give some thought to the reputation of the Hub you have succeeded in dragging through the gutter.Let alone cyclists in general that find your attitude and behaviour pathetic.

I just spoke to Mr K Hauer and we had a very civilized chat. I can understand why they are starting to get a little fed-up with cyclists.

 

Maybe just a attitude change from cyclists will make motorists regard them with the same respect they do other road users. Remember you get what you give.

I must agree with Onetime.

Even though I am a cyclist myself I cannot help get mad at some idiots that ride like @ssholes in traffic and skip traffic lights. And then they get mad if other road users dont respect them, see the irony. Remember it only takes one stray car or taxi to termibate you. Worst is it reflects badly on the whole cycling community.

Here is my take on this entire debacle.

 

If this email is correct (the original), then I would love to meet up with this fellow and share my thoughts with him.

 

Posting details: I posted him business web site - not too difficult to figure out from his email address. Sue me. Information is in the public domain.

 

As for posting his wife's details, where where those gleaned from? If his personal accounts were hacked, then there is a case for criminal charges being brought to bear. If they were found off another web site, there can be no criminal charges brought against the poster - once again, they are in the public domain.

 

I have missed some posts here obviously, but the one threat that I did make was bury his 2m shock stick where the sun don't shine. While this is an expression and in some instances it might even be considered an idiom, if he has purchased this device for the purpose of injuring cyclists (as his email implies), my offer stands.

 

This was started as a shocking post, followed up by a helluva lot of anger (the Rant and Rave forum) directed at Ken. A couple of Hubbers contacted the man directly, and for that you can give them credit. One was called a "colossal prick" Be that as it may, there was still courage enough to speak directly to the man.

 

I said that I had subscribed him to a particularly nasty porn site. THAT WAS AN UNMITIGATED LIE ON MY PART. I would not do that to Julius, let alone this Ken chap.

 

Most people agree that we need to respect motorists, and I really think that the majority of us do. When we read of fatal accidents involving a cyclist, we get irate. Is this a bad thing? I do not think so. It could have  been any one of us.

 

Then an inflammatory email like the one Ken sent to Thinkbike gets posted here and we all react. HELL YES!

 

I stand by each and every post that I have put up here today. As I said, one of them is an out-and-out lie, but for the rest - I stand firm.

Further more i have asked for the whole mail he has published,and that i would put it on the hub if he wants.

 

I still want an explanation for he;s remarks that he has knocked down 2 cyclist and will do so again.

 

Do we as cyclist approve of been knocked down,look what happened to Jeff and CYnthia this weekend whist on there way to there early morning ride .

 

They were hit from behind on there tandum by a hit and run and landed up in ICU

 

 

I have given  Ken an oppurtunity to explain himself and am still set on laying charges on advice from my lawyers.

Surely this should have been taken further by both of them. It has been mentioned previously on this thread that there are several charges that could be pursued.

 

Why have they not been pursued by parties immediate.

 

PLEASE Let hubbers not stoop to pedantic interference and give cycling/ists a bad name.

 

Legal recourse I'm sure would stem the apparent bad attitude of this gentleman.

 

They (the victims)are as guilty for this situation reaching this point as is this gentleman.
