Telkom Satellite PIG!!!!!!

We were manning waterpoint 4! (foot of Hekpoot) I personally walked more than a km up the road to clean up! Come on roadies' date=' if the Mountainbikers can learn to behave, so can we!

The pic below was taken after the first ladies 20091026_022809_m_TSC.jpgwent past us - you can just imagine what it looked like after 3000 more cyclists went past!

Dropping empty water sachets in close proximity to a waterpoint is normal. Organisers should have people with black bags manning the stretch after the waterpoint. If they did not do it here they should take note and do it next time.

Cyslist however willfully throwing away sachets and littering en route are definitely cyclists "behaving badly". full marks to the Hubbers who admonished them!!!!!!!

ClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClapClap ....... I applaud you!!!!!!

Those Flasks with the Gell works Great. Used it now at a few races. Less Hassel and no sticky shirts afterwards.

Problem with the gel flask, and I have one, is I now use whasp products and I use 3 different gels on a race. I start with the one with amino acids and then the one with 50mg caffeine and then the 100mg caffeine. I am back to stuffing them in my jersey and getting a bit sticky. The stuff washes out easily so its no big deal

littering is a bad habit, it is not up to the water station helpers to clean up. they have already given up their free time and thanks for that.

if you a sponsored rider even worse, you will be remembered and should be named and shamed.

Come on' date=' post his name!

Apparently many riders in the VB bunch, particularly BOSS Logistics, riders feel they have the right to litter as well.

CarbonBoy unfortunately I don't know his name. Maybe someone can help with his details?

I thought I had remembered the BOSS Logistics PIG's number but after Hekpoort all that was in my memory was painOuch

I did the MTB on Sunday.  (Having been a Roadie) i was amazed at the lack of littering.  At the first water station, one of the front racers came past, grabbed the cup of water and dashed off in hot pursuit.  AMAZING - he finished the drink, crumpled the cup and PUT IT IN HIS POCKET!!  The two young guys manning the station was hopping up and down with "DID YA SEE THAT!!"Thumbs%20Up I for one was sincereley impressedClap

No

I'm the type of guy that dose stop and pick up my litter. Then again this is a roadie topic where as with MTBs we say:

"don't leave any footprints - only tyre tracks"

used and empty sachets make your cycling shirt and everything inside it sticky. its a mess, especially when you have the unused ones in the same pocket.
