Very interesting Stats of 2 year of cycling.

Recommended Posts

I started cycling on the 4th of July 2005. Here are my stats covering the almost 2 years. I stopped for 3,5 months after last years Argus.

Total Hours:                      423:36

Avr Time:                           1h16

Total Distance:                  9739 km (contains lots of spinning obviously not

                                          showing)

Max Speed:                       91 km/h

Total Ascent:                     93,719 km (10.6 times mount everest)

Total Nr. of heartbeats:     3 743 076 beats

Gedink dit sou interessant wees as van die ander hulle goed kan post. Pops, jy het mos lang ure vir die Epic ingesit.....hoe lyk jou goed?

Assumiing a max HR of 185, I figure 147 is 80% of max(?)

I'm hoping Gumpole is being ironic with the training harder comment, otherwise I'm in a lot of trouble.

Don't go Pops, well not until you let me know whether your Epic tents have arrived yet.

Ek dink die avr tyd van 'n oefening is fine. Maar die probleem is ek doen dit te min in 'n week. Avr. per week is net 5 uur en die maksimum is net 9:54 uur.

thats 6520 calories per day (average). Just for comparison, how many hours a day did you ride, and what was your burn per hour? Also, as a benchmark, what was your argus time and how many calories you burn there?

This is very interesting stuff. How much do you have to eat to replace almost 7000 calories a day??

Ek dink nie dit was fikser, maar meer slimmer in 2007.

In 2007 epic you were burning around 800-900 calories per hour, which indicates quite a high level of fitness, although your argus is around 1200 calories/hr.

My argus was 3h26 and i burnt 4005 calories which is around 1150 calories per hour. probably explains why i was a bit slower ;)

I've noticed that regardless of the intensity of a workout my calories burnt / hour is always more or less the same...
