MTB Gloves

So seeing that I came off twice this weekend, I think it's time to get gloves! (my budget is turning in it's grave right now)

 

Since I don't really know a helluva lot about what's available I was hoping someone could shed some light for me.

 

My requirements are:

 

Full finger

Palm padding

Plastic/carbon/whatever finger protection - to stop finger bending back

Look cool

Under R500, preferably closer to R300.

 

I've seen some Fox motocross gloves, but I don't think they have descent palm padding. Anyone have any ideas? What do you use?

I've got a Fox Full finger Mtb?ing glove, would NOT recommend them, no "extra" protection. Maybe the Moto Cycling gloves have extra protection? <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I also use the fox full fingers.....comfy and nice, haven't really been uncomfortable, even when falling, but they did tear last year when i got my left hand stuck in a thorn bush, it ripped me F&ck You Fingernail off...

 

I am still wearing em and they are all right...

I've got Louis Garneau. Quite expensive at R240 but very comfortable and well padded. Can not be used in cool/cold weather as they are extremely well ventilated. Just take one size bigger then usual.

i got fox full finger gloves and i love them

i got very small hands so all the ones with extra protection on the fingers were too big for me

so they are quite thin on top but i am very happy with the padding....a lot of gel on the palm

R235 and oh yeah and they look real cool

this is mine i wanted the black ones but only had the red ones in my size. Got them from City Cycles in CanalWalk.

Don't buy your gloves from a BS . Go to your local MX dealer or motorbike shop and buy gloves there . Only buy Fox .

Will check them out. I'm a bit worried about them not having enough padding on the palm, but will still have a look.

Stop putting your palm down, you're gonna break you wrist, rather make a "fist and save your wrist", that's why they have the padding on the knuckles.
