changepassword Posted December 22, 2009 Posted December 22, 2009 Cycling couple killed by truck1 hour 50 min agoA couple riding on a tandem bicycle has been killed after they were run over by a truck near Mossel Bay.Police say the truck hit the pair from behind.The deceased are believed to be tourists and have not yet been identified.The police?s Wollie Fourie said the cyclists were about 20 kilometres from the town.?Currently we are investigating a culpable homicide. If anybody has any information, they can contact us. Both of the deceased were wearing cycling clothes, a green and white top, black pants and the normal grey cycling shoes,? he said.

FJP Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Hierdie is baie erg, ons ry elke dag daai spesifieke pad omdat daar vir 20km 'n skouergedeelte op die pad is. Sover ek weet is dit die eerste keer dat daar fietryers dood is op die pad

Woofie Posted December 23, 2009 Posted December 23, 2009 Very sad. Its time they do something drastic like change the national speed limit - and enforce it. The road deaths this year is disgusting. When are they going to start putting measures in place to start reducing this carnage.
