davetapson Posted January 5, 2011 Share Dudes, you got to lighten up. Don't take it so damn seriously... If some eejit wants to say something stoopid, ignore it. If you don't, the only eejit is you and your blood pessure. Control? WTF for? Go live in Australia if you need someone to limit your every waking move. Guest agteros Posted January 5, 2011 Share Wow dude, you're almost a year late with your comment...when you got something to say you got something to say I guess...hahaha ... and when somebody stars a new thread on a topic already hacked to death, that ain't good either ... So, what are the criteria for digging up old topics vs starting new ones?

Tumbleweed Posted January 5, 2011 Share Sad to think when this thread started, Mark Stockton was still around. That's true. I thought about him on January 1. A year ago on that day, he, Bat8 and I hit NF for a ride. Great day.
'Dale Posted January 5, 2011 Share I prefer freedom of expression. Even here on da Hub.I prefer one taking personal responsibility for one's actions (or comments in this cyber space).Of course, extreme scenarios need some leadership from the Hub moderator and administrator. For too long has this society been clamped up with oppression. Bring your voice. It is just your opinion. Nothing more. Nothing less.

IdeJongh Posted January 5, 2011 Share ... and when somebody stars a new thread on a topic already hacked to death, that ain't good either ... So, what are the criteria for digging up old topics vs starting new ones? Always an issue, cuz new people arrive on the hub, you discover you have problems now that other people struggled with last year. What I always do, do a basic search and if nothing is aparent start a new thread, and if really needed I'll link in the old thread.
RodTi Posted January 5, 2011 Share I have no idea why - but Dave Tapson just reminded me of a line from Mr. Adams: "The storm had now definitely abated, and what thunder there was now grumbled over more distant hills, like a man saying "And another thing…" twenty minutes after admitting he's lost the argument." Figure I should have a read through that trilogy in five parts again...
TNT1 Posted January 5, 2011 Share This forum really needs a thread necromancy rule. Where's the moods at?
Tumbleweed Posted January 5, 2011 Share where is canaris ? anyone have contact with him, or is he spying on a russian chess player ? Chatted to him a bit before Xmas. Was supposed to hook up for a ride, but then December got turned upside-down.
The Drongo Posted January 5, 2011 Share Me thinks the time has come for another Hub ride at Groenies so that senior hubbers can discuss this problem over mud and beer, <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Seriously, topics to aviod are</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Doping (especially when another hubber has been bust)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pics of nekkid ladies (unless it is on the Ladies and bikes thread)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>BigH.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The contested history of South Africa, especially if you are on the loosing side (oops controverial already)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>the price of everything and the value of anything (the Joburgers are very sensitive about these things. Normally the response is "it is my F___ing money and I will spend it on what I like"</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sexual orientation (Western Cape is a bit sensitive about this one, for some reason that I cannot fathom)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Animals getting hurt (unless the animal is a human, then it is a free for all with pics).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Religion. But that is kinda obvious. Generally accepted, there is a life force, some worship it and call it God other don't lets not go further than that.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I hope this provides a meltdown indicator for others.<img src="https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley2.gif" height="17" width="17" border="0" align="absmiddle" alt="Wink" /></DIV> Edited January 5, 2011 by The Drongo
