Thanks' date=' Luke, when I hit suikerbossie with MC, all we could do is pray to get over that climb, I didn`t have any energy left for shouting, once we got to Camps Bay Andrew McLean came past, so we hooked on his wheel, then I had energy again for shouting, I think he was laughing at my jokes as I was screaming: trap Andrew, trap, ons gaan saam met jou oppie TV wees!!!, he looked around with quite a big smile on his face and pulled us all the way to the finishline - THANKS, Andrew!![/quote']

Johan, I taped the Argus and watched it last night. They showed the sprint twice and the two of us sitting on Andrew and Shane's wheels.

The was quite alot of pain showing on my face but it was a good sprint. 301 for me and 302 for you.

man after two bad crashes in the four weeks leading up to the Argus (ten stitches in elbow after the first, and a road rash the size of a small side plate after the second) I had no great expectations except to get to the finish line in one piece and with a decent time... 3.27 from B is what it was.

Must get back into VA for next year.

my time 5hrs 45mins including lots of stops

I decided to do things different this year, took the MTB to the argus - no slicks since i was not going for PB i decided to sit back, go slow have lots of stops to chat to the people, thank them personally for their support and check out the scenic views.

1st major stop was at the massage med tent the one lady asked me what was wrong, and i replied nothing, feel fantastic but i'll have what he is having (rubbing of legs with oil by attractive looking ladies)

I could'nt resist so stopped at the very next one as well along the route  which i can say comes highly recommended.

To sum it up i had an awesome ride

3h16 from VA. First half was fine, but got killed on the fast roads after Smitswinkel chasing the splintered groups. Cracked on little Chappies! And then took it 'easy' for the rest of the way.
