Good day ladies and gents, bought me and my girl some MTB's and within half a second she has turned on me and became a MTB fanatic.

As you can imagine buying for two can bankrupt someone really quick. Last month it was bikes and basic gear high viz jackets etc etc. This month it wil be pedals and shoes.

Now the conundrum, I really dont want to spend R3.5k on shoes at this stage. Anyone know of a decent shoe thats fairly durable and comfy for around 1.5k range?

I will buy the more decent carbon based shoes if things get more serious at this stage i would just like to get all the basics right.

Yip went with the olympics and have to say not sorry at all, very decent for the price. Or maybe its just cuase i havent tried the expensive shoes so I dont know any better ;)

Olympic is real good value for money - you will have to spend DBL on other brands to get the same comfort & durability.

There are better shoes on the market but you`ll pay a lot more to get a little more shoe.

Olympic on special at sportsmans.

Whatever you do, if you use Crank brother get the shoe shield other wise you will shorten your shoes lives hectically. Also gooi those studs away.
