I'm looking for the lightest disc brake set available. Anyone got some info or maybe a website with some info?

Do you want to use them to stop or just for looks?

I have no idea. Maybe Hope Minis or Avid Juicy Carbons.

They must have some form of stopping power. Had a look at the mini's. Not really a avid carbon fan.

The Avids are not the lightest around, try the Formula Oro's

BTW, I love my Avid Carbons.

Lightest has generally been the Magura Marta SL.

Avid Juicy Ultimates are flippen close, possibly actually lighter and are VERY powerful!

On Avid Juicy 7 now, but if I build an XC machine it'll probably be the Hopes

Avid Juicy Ultimates:  they are the Ultimate breaks. Period.

Very Light and Very Strong and unfortunately Very expensive.

Currently own a set of oro puro and avid ultimate brakes. The oro's are 52g lighter than the avids.Have owned marta sl's which is still the lightest but don't like them, they tend to go spoungy at times.Stick with brakes using hydraulic fluid and not miniral oil.I feel the oro's are much better than the avids(they are good enough for Greg minnaar)but they are a bit more expensive.

Well from what I could find out the Hope Mono Mini Pros are the lightest with the best performance. And at +-R5000 a set its not to bad.

Love these brakes, especially the machined finish. The prototypes with the green ano leverbody and caliper were even better looking!
