I should be getting my "merchandise" early next week... tracking says it left China last week Wednesday.

So my tracking info shows it took a week for my "merchadise" to get from China to Jhb. Let's see how long it takes to get from Jhb to Cpt...

I don't know if he makes quite that much profit... my kit cost +-R750, after being converted by the "blue bank" and of course selling me $$$ at a massive profit for themselves (here's hoping I don't have to pay import duties on top of that).

Please explain how you get to R750.

The kit costs +-$55.00 and since $1 = R7.80 that means it should cost you +-R430.00.

That price (R430.00) excludes vat, duties, etc.

Hi Indigo Kid... sorry, I forgot to mention I took an extra long-sleeve jersey, so mine would be more than "specialized"... my bad :(

I think it's $49.99 per clothing "set", and then $5 postage...

Cool, just wanted to make sure that there weren't any hidden charges.

Mine has been in Jhb since the 21st July... can't believe it takes almost as long to get from China to Jhb, as it does to get from Jhb to Cpt...

I'll let you know when i receive mine, and post a pic so you guys can see the quality...

I see one big imort duty being added here!!!! ****. Happened before importing rc goods. So Marius give them a ring. Maybe u lucky and it is on its way to your local post office.

Duties on clothing is pretty heavy, as far as I have it.

Please let us know what the duties came to.

SARS... <_<

Just cleared all up. Collecting my parcel at Cape mail today. Ordered 3 items. @ long sleeve jerseys one cycling short. With shipping R850 went of my credit card. Total import duties and taxes are R475. Which makes the total R1325.

So that is R440 per item. I still think that is not bad. Would of been much better without SARS!!!!

Ill post about the quality and size later this afternoon. Will collect over lunch time.

From being in the import industry a few years back, i don't think it will be that excessive.

Say $49.99 @ R8 to the USD = R400

postage @ $5 = 40

45% Customs & Duties = 180

Vat @ 14% = 56

TOTAL R676 (The price of a CapeStorm bibshort)

You only pay customs and VAT on the value of the goods, which excludes the postage costs.

Will let you know for sure, when i receive my bill...
