Something else we can blame Armstrong for

Pévenage claims Ullrich decided to work with Fuentes because he was under huge pressure to try and beat Armstrong.

"The rivalry pushed us to give it everything to try and beat him," Pévenage told L'Equipe. "With all the money he earned, Jan could not afford to be beaten. He was stressed out by the pressure and even put on weight because of that. Stress poisoned his career."

So one rider was considered it too stresfull to try and beat another rider. Great excuse, so every sports person that competes can now dope becuase they are worried about having to beat their rivals?

What a load of hogwash.

Does this put the spotlight back on Jan?

Or has he said his bit and out of trouble (but still in disgrace)?

His book of confessions will be an interesting read...

HOW DARE YOU INSINUATE THAT LANCE WAS DOPING! I KNOW SOME VETS WHO WORK FULL TIME AND RIDE THE CAPE EPIC, SO THEREFORE THE PROS RIDE THE TDF CLEAN!

I follow a simple rule of thumb when it comes to pro riders and doping: Guilty until proven innocent.

Yeah, nevermind Jan's tell all book, I want to read Fuentes' memoirs.

Who cares Jan Ullrich was damn good on the bike and a great guy off the bike, even in his fat overweight off season i couldn't keep up with him.

Anyone know if his bike is still hanging up at that hotel in Gordens Bay?

Do you think it might have recipes in it? You know, "eye-of-newt & toe-of-dog" stuff? Might even outsell Ina Paarman & Angela Day!
