Hi Annie, We at Cycling KZN have reviewed the situation with regards to the licensing issue for the Pick and Pay Amashova and concluded that all cyclists will still have to be licensed for the race despite the fact that another Province has opted to waiver the request for a license to compete in the Pick and Pay 94.7 It has been necessary for a cyclist to be a member of an affiliated club and licensed by means of either a cyclosport or full license in order to compete in races in KZN and for CKZN to simply revert to what we had previously would in no uncertain terms undermine the integrity of the Executive. We therefore conclude that if a cyclist wishes to take part in the Amashova they have to be licensed. If for some reason they are not licensed or cannot produce their license they may purchase a temporary license at registration. And if that is not good enough excuse for you, don't do it for the sake of your neighbours. I believe the Psychiatrists are pretty expensive nowadays.
