I would love to read a shootout from Tread. I don't care what consumers in other countries say, I only care about South African consumers and even more so Western Cape.

I have sent a few bottles to hubbers doing multi day stage races in return for a write up here.

Anyone doing a multi day stage race, please PM for some lube. Only price is a write up of the product after the race. Please send me your name, race number and the name of the race you will be doing and i will sort you out.

I am not doing any multi day stages soon but see the "How many Km's did you do this month??" thread, sure that qualifies me to test a sample for you! I do road and Mtb, perfect candidate!

Oh, Oh, and I am South African and in the Western Cape thanks cbrunsdon!

I haven't had time to even see the list but I just wanted to add my 2 cents worth... 2 weeks ago I rode the Oudtshoorn 3-day full Marathon and it was a blast. On Saturday (longest stage, 103km) I unfortunately broke my chain 30K's in and was dropped by the pack. This was due to the dry dusty conditions and I could hear that my chain was dry even though I had lubed it first thing in the morning.

I am not knocking any products and I am not affiliated with any brands, but obviously different lubes are specific for different conditions. I was using white lightning "clean ride" for Tokai type conditions and that seemed to work well but switched over to Squirt for the dry conditions and boy did it work well!!(Squirt were at the TransAlp and were co-event sponsor at Oudtshoorn and offered free lube at the various water points for the duration of the marathon weekend). My brother and I actually helped the brand manager of Squirt limp home on day-3 as he had a massive hole in his rear tyre and he rewarded us with some free lube afterwards :D . What a booitjie!!

Since then I have used the Squirt and it seems very impressive for dry riding conditions.

Well the US cyclocross champ also uses it.
