Brakkies Sport Fotos Posted September 14, 2007 Share The 725i have a Bike and Run measuring system. Sometimes when cycling and I press the wrong button it went from the cycling setting to run and suddenly it measure distance and pace Question 1 What button do I need to press to get it back on BIKE, or do I need to go out, and open watch settings and reset? If I press a button to get to Run, surelly, I can another button to get it back to Cycle. Question 2 On my 7201 can set the watch to always show heartrate with a % in the bottom screen and it kept that even if I switch or end a ride, or start another ride. The 725i always start with the number of heartbeats and you can only change to % after you got to "lap time". You have to set this everytime you start a new ride. popeye2007-09-14 03:31:

The Saint Posted September 14, 2007 Share When in doubt, push all the buttons at once
CaptainDura Posted September 14, 2007 Share When in doubt read the manual. But for those not willing or able to do that here are the answers..1. when you press the red action button once the watch starts to pick up the heart rate and are ready for you to start the timer.in this mode when you press the right bottom button and hold it, you can cycle through the bike1, bike 2 cycle and speed off functions.2. After the timer has started and you are now recording hr/ speed/ cadence etc, you can press the lower right button (and hold it) and this will cycle the %max HR, and actual HR. That way you can set it to show either beats per minute or percentage.

Brakkies Sport Fotos Posted September 14, 2007 Share captaindura: Your Point 2 Exactly my issue. I now how to set that. Why must I EVERYTIME I start a ride do that? My 720i held that setting (PERMANENTLY) till you decide to change to beats again. Point 1: Ok, checked it "Speed Off" "Run Time" or "BIKE". Thanks for this onepopeye2007-09-14 07:27:
Popeye You can set your watch up to start with the % at all times. Ive got a 725x and this is how to do it.. connect your watch to your pc with IR (or whatever). On your protrainer software go to tools/edit polar product settings. Then choose the Exercises tab. Select the exercise you want to edit and click the edit button. On the general tab youl see a calculation method and a dropdown box.select the "% of max HR" option save and youre good to go.

Johan Bornman Posted September 22, 2007 Share The Polar 7201 is a bit of a monster in many ways. The previous poster told you how to always have HR% showing by going through the software. However, you can also do it on the watch itself. Just hold the bottom right button down until it changes from absolute HR to HR%. Now cycle to the next screen (up or down button) and do the same. You may want to have HR% on some screens and Absolute HR on others. That way you have more data to play with and take focus off your ride. As clever as Polar is, they unfortunately don't recognise the Karvonnen formula for HR%, which sort of renders this feature worthless. JB

JB[/quote'] Ah yes JB, but when you download the data they cater for this. also if you use your noggin, you can easily see that any Karvonnen % equates to another sraightline % then just go with this amd set up you limits accordingly. Elemetry dear Watson............ yes I know he never said this before you get too Slim.
