That list is a bit out of date, for instance top end Look frames are actually made in Africa(Tunisia). Colnago and most Trek's are made by C-Tech(Giant).

Quite right...they are made in Tunisia and France in LOOK's own factories.. The 566 is made in Taiwan though. Edited by Mr LOOK

I thought it was common knowledge that the Zula was made in China/Taiwan.

isn't it only the Kwela (hardtail) made in taiwan, and everything else(including the Zula) in pmb?

surely those boxes are for tubing though, anyway..

Strange, I would think the welding in Taiwan would be as good/better and cheaper. Also there is no duty on frames.

ja I'd be interested how much cheaper they could sell me a Zula if it was welded and painted in TW.......

AFAIK, the wakkas in Taiwan do a better job for less and don't strike either

IMO if its carbon you'd be dumb to buy something not made in Asia, they make it at low cost, the major makers are there and they've done it a long time. allot of frames are open mold these days anyway...

Alu/ti/steel makes sense to have it made by hand somewhere

Erm... I THINK mine was made in a factory, but it was not stated as such in the owners manual... hmmm... Did not get one of those!

Whats the point of this post?

An engineer where ever, designed the frame... You should blame him if it breaks..

The factory where it is made is situated in taiwan or china because of cheap labour, but the frames stil need to pass quality checks therfore it is pointless to say that a bicycle is cheap because it is made in the east

It is only those with a Spaghetti frame made in Taiwan and a Parmesan groupset and wheels that paid many many more shekels than you who who gets pissed off he realizes how shallow and veign he really is in his misjudged effort to try and be better than the rest
