Problem is that he is probably under age as well so will only spend one night behind bars. I remember back when i was studying we caught a guy who attacked a female student with a knife behind our residence. We called the police and when they arrived they calmly said: "listen this guy is under age and nothing will come of this. We suggest you take him back to your residence and deal with him yourself". We did........

If under age....... fine, he will be given a lesson (f...that) he will get moered.

 

One thing is for sure, he will be back.

The community doesn't seem to want the mountain bikers at Majick. I have heard of local community meetings where specific comments were made on getting the mountain bikers out of the area, as (a small minority of) mountain bikers ride in majick forest without any regard for their own safety or the safety of other trail users.

With so many other trail options around (Hillcrest, Meerendal, Contermanskloof, Nitida) I am rather focussing on riding where there is at least a basic level of security.

Another time bomb in Majick Forest is the ever increasing problem with Vagrants sleeping in the forest. Numerous calls to the police to have them removed lead to them taking action once in about 10 years (last year a few was removed and shelters broken up).

Rather go join the Tygerberg Mountainbike Club and use the trails on private land that we have access to.

I agree Wannabe - set up a few riders with a group waiting below and above them. In that case, we would be able to attack from all over and beat the living daylights out of this individual!the question is...who will take one for the team

I don't know about using BigJ-wp as bait - your size will probably scare the guys sufficiently without having to resort to a mob.

Saw 2 unsavoury looking guys walking towards the pine trees from the top wooden bridge about 2 weeks back but haven't seen them since. A fence with video surveillance at the gates is starting to look like the only viable option.

Think we'll have to draw straws on this one. Biggest problem I see is that nobody would want to be the "bait", as he/she would then miss out on the action afterwards.

Good so we can drown him in the dam...maybe blixem him a bit with his own axle and then drown the dude...tie his hands together with a tube so he cant swim either...

There was another guy beaten and robbed at Majik Forest, Wynand Oosthuizen. Read in the news paper yesterday

i dont want to start a witch hunt here but....

 

when i was riding from nitida back to durbanville on Saurday afternoon i saw a guy coming out of one of the properties near the vinyards ( where the farm workers live) carrying a wooden pick axe handle covered in blue tape. Not sure if this was the same "weapon" used in these attacks.

 

If somebody can get a description of the weapon used the police may follow up.

 

Does anyone know at which police station the charge was laid?

 

On this note, i am going to avoid riding MF on my own and will rather go to meerendal.

wow! thats intense, I also thought about that cause obviously the guy wont go back to the Welgemoed side as he will be seen and might be caught, you may have a valid point....

 

Where more or less was this? You noticed if he was well dressed or had an ear ring?

I agree with Morewoodmad. If the trails are not managed then incidents like these will happen. Rather ride where the trails are managed or get involved and start managing the trails at majik. Then at least one can take control of the feet going in or out.

I was 17...opponents 25 and 27....I was a bit on the heavier side thats why I had to fight open devision...they won by points not by Knockout

 

Was very stoked cause only been doing it 3 months when the event was.

I don't know whether the attacker will be able to lift the stick that high and BTW if Big J-WP goes there's no need for the rest of us
