sram Double Tap Shifters

what is the Double Tap Shifters i want to try sram but never work with them and dont know what the Double Tap does

Press one click it shifts down.

Press all the way to two clicks and it goes up.

Unlike STI and Campag Shifters that have two shifting levers SRAM has one. Big push shifts up. Small tap shifts down. Very easy and so far Im very impressed with mine although I hardly ever ride my road bike, enjoy the MTB too much

it must take some time to get used to ok now i know what andy did

I have only ever used them and they do work well. On the rear (rhs) a gentle tape drops the chain to higher gear (smaller sprocket) useful for those sprints! On the front, a tap drops the chain to the smaller ring good for sticky situation in climbs.
