Is it just me or are the Technogym bikes at Virgin Active the most poorly designed exercise bikes in the world. I just cant find a comfortable position to cycle in. The seat is way too big and the cycling position is too upright. I also cant find a place to comfortably place my hands.

Thank goodness my local VA has spinning bikes a row behind the Technogym Bikes.

I know what you mean! Those Technogym bikes suck! I do like the readouts though.. would have been nice if the spinning bikes had something similar... should probably just get myself a HR monitor.

They're not designed for cyclists, so they'll never be comfortable for you. They're designed for people that want to get a light work out, whilst sitting complete upright so as not to hinder conversation, etc.

If I want to pull or tie hamstring muscles in knots, I must get on any staionary bike in a gym. Even the spinning ones. No thanks. Even the spinning bike seats are uncomfortable.

Also don't believe the power readings. Apparently I can gooi a solid 220W with my heart rate in the low 150's.

I suppose it depends on your fitness, age and max heart rate, but that number is not too far off as far as my power meter is concerned.
