HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!      Enjoy riding there in a month's time. Your team might miss you next weekend but you will be all on your own in a month.... well, seeing as it will be peak season, you might have a lot of traffic to keep you company.

Good luck with that

Be careful not to lose any water bottles out on the course...

Good luck with your training.

The Giant TCR is a great bike!

You're joking right ?!? Early 1st of April feeler ? Are your team mates aware that they have a potential "flat wheel" on board ? Well, best of luck then. If you haven't put in some base miles by now, and you want to tough it out, then all I can suggest is to buy a LOT of chamois cream, a LOT of sunblock, a decent pair of shorts, load up an iPod with ALL your favourite tunes, keep some moola for team mate favours/bribes (paid per Km of pushing  ), and have the sweep vehicle on speed dial ... it's gonna be a loooong day of suffering for you ....

i think you guys have it wrong. my calendar clearly states 27/12/2010. so be serious now.

i was thinking about starting with a long and slow ride. about 80km to begin with this weekend. should i train on hills? or stay on the flats where im most comfartable.

also, is the new bike going to give me that competitive advantage im looking for. previously i used to own a Aluminium bike.

No, I don't think you can put in a long hard ride now with 2 weeks to go. You are in your taper period. Sit on the couch, drink a couple of beers and eat a pizza for carbo-loading. Keep the bike clean for the big race day, why spoil a brand new bike on training?

Dude its the 27 of the 11 not 12. Not like to be you.  I think take the aluminium bike break it before you go then take it to the start and say sorry guys got to back out. :D :D

You are time crunched and need to put in some hours. Why not start cycling to Swellendam now? You will save on petrol and by the time you arrive you'll be fit and ready to smash your way round the course.

I cant open the site, its blocked for some reason on my work PC. its not a porn related site is it?

My whole team has started prepping this week in order to raise the fitness level in the team evenly.

Some guys told me to start interval training with the PPA guys at Killarney on Tuesdays, but i dont think im ready for it yet. sounds quite hectic. any thoughts on that?

oh, before i forget.

The training at killarney: is it on the short Go-kart circuit or on the maincircuit. and if it is on the maincircuit, do they give the cyclist right of way over the race cars? im a very nervous cyclist.
