What would you guys feel is a fair fee to charge for a club offering MTB,Road and BMX disciplines. There is organised group rides 6 days a week,a tent with refreshments at major races.Would you want a club kit included in membership fees or would you like to buy it seperately.Sounds like a mouthfull but your input will be appreciated.

Thank you

Depends on your clubs financial status and what values you have for your members, Cyclelab and Club100 have a huge membership base yet their fees are not set for "Man in the street"

Clubs such as Cresta have a reasonable fee and yet their club has nowhere near the above clubs membership.

My club been a closed one has all your mentioned items and we charged a very low fee the past two years and still survived. I say your kit prices must be kept apart from your subs.

Remember you will have to take into account all the licence charges next year from Province and CSA.

Thank you mallo.

Look financialy we make it,but we are thinking of something extra that we can pass back onto our members. We will also include the licencing fees for next year

I would say R300 - R500 per annum + initial joining fee which might be waived reduced for development/ student/ OAPs etc.

Heavy subsidisation for families is a must!

At club100 I think the annual subs are R400 which is the price of two races + a few energy bars - well worth it.

I think the service that a club gives is much more important than the cost because even if my club cost R1000 a year it would be cheap.

Think you need to subsidise kit heavily too - pointless having a claub ride and 50ks later the ride captain is wondering if the 2 guys in phonak kit that have been dropped are part of the club ride or just cyclists that have been passed - so for a sense of identity/ safety getting everybody in kit is critical - again even if it has to be subsidised/ free for some..

just have a look at whar Maverick charges and offers. R200 and it includes subs to two magazines but not kit.

You get kit at cost. And shop discounts. And weekend rides in Lourensford.

Will ook 'n club join vir volgende jaar.... dink dit sal net makliker wees vir al die 'licensing' issues etc..... maar soek waarde vir geldWink
