Att: To the guy that almost got himself mowed down this morning

you sir, totally rock. Using yourself and your bike, this morning on the cycle lane along Otto Du Plessis between sunset beach and The Paddocks, despite the glaringly red stop signal, you sir, decided to keep cranking on despite it being go-time for the cars. The look u gave that driver when much to their surprise, you hurtled into their pathes forcing them to throw all anchors... priceless.

Priceless indeed, but u went one better. Instead of just backing up a bit to give right of way to those with right of way (ROW D again), u decided to crank on, but at least u waved your hand in a pseudo display of gratitude for still having your life, when another car had to anchor down to let u go on your merry way.. Priceless doubled! absolute f'ing genius.

I think i need to get another gopro and permanently afix it to my car so i can get all this awesomeness on video..

Or to the guy (same guy??) who last Friday afternoon was cycling in the middle of the two car lanes at great speed as if he was on a motorbike near Dolphin Beach. Please remind me what the brand spanking new cycle lanes are for again? Should be compulsory if you ask me!! :o

Nah, we're too busy riding. We've outsourced complaining to the local residents (I think you know who I mean ;) ). It's not our core competency.

Just like the pond scum in corporate team kit (shall remain nameless) whose training ride (Polar HRM on bar) was so important that when riding into Fishhoek he felt no need to slow, let alone stop, when running the red light at a pedestrian crossing. The lady who had to stop mid crossing looked most impressed.....!

Naturally the same guy ran the next 2 red lights in the very same fashion, the last one also a pedestrian crossing with people on. Roadies really know how to win friends and influence people....
