Ok, black carbon FSA seatpost. "FSA" was written in red. You'll recognise the the seatpost by black insulation tape just above where the post clamps to the frame. There's also some redish coloured carbon paste on the post.

If you ever want to see your tube in one piece again, wrap R120 in unmarked bills in an old tyre and leave them under the 5th rock you come to along the Spruit.

 

I'll give you R80 and the old tyre in which I'll put it have 20% tread left to make up for the extra R40. It's a Vittoria Rubino foldable

Had a SMS from my lost sock...... He says there are quite a few tubes on the island. He says if you can identify the tube they will send it back. Tubes are not welcome on sock island as they are rowdy characters.

 

Apparently they don't aclimatise well to the relaxed island environment - they only really work when under pressure...

The tubes feel deflated on sock island coz they get into fights where they get kicked around and can't roll with the 'punctures'

Maybe the lube on the seatpost is why you never noticed the seat was gone
