Hi does anybody else struggle to sleep after a big race?

I normally sleep like a baby and within minutes from going to bed - but not after a big race??

Any explanations?

Cheers

Are you sure that you don't have RLS ?

I also have this problem regularly - my body is just so sore I can't get comfy, and struggle falling asleep... a sleeping tablet usually helps with that for me :)

Restless Legs Syndrome - one funny phenomenon.

It is surely a possibility for this concerned rider?

I have the same thing.

My legs twitch and throb

My whole body zings with adrenalin and caffeine and sugar and excess energy drink/gel left overs.

I sleep like a baby after a race or long ride.. actually more like a passed out drunk. Even before the race I sleep well. It is just a bicycle race after all, nothing that affects my pay check :)

After a race i will drop off to sleep quite easily but wake up around 2 hours later then struggle to get back to sleep. Even watching the shopping channels does not work.
