It's lycra garments that's 2 sizes too small for you. I can maybe understand those that have different "strength" panels to go over different parts of the body but most are just one piece.

That's the cheap brands. Also wouldn't trust them. The more expensive ones, like zoot :) , with the compression rating and panels do work

I've been using the Compressor Sport Quad compression thingymebobs and have to say that I'm really happy with them. How long do I wear them for? Generally overnight but I have worn themfor up to 18 hours or so.

I WOULD TAKE IT OFF WHEN IT STARTS TO SMELL FUNKY....OR WHEN I START BLEEDING FROM THE EARS...THAT IS USUALLY A GOOD INDICATION THEY HAVE BEEN WORN TOO LONG.

It depends on the workout and what time I finished, but normally about 3 hours.

If I had a hard workout in the afternoon, I'd wear them till I go to bed.

If it's a saterday morning, I'd wear them for 3/4 hours.

Ok here goes:

Me and the Weight Weenie went for a day/night trail run yesterday at groenkloof(about 70min). It wasn't my fastest hardest trail run ever, but it was only my second trail run in 3 months and I did have a nice sprint at one stage. AFter the run I stretched for only 1min. I wore my pants during the run and after the run.

This morning I did a 1 hour hard tempo ride and my legs felt absolutely fine. Normally my glutes would be "lam", but I had no problems. During the run I could also feel the compression it felt nice(if you know what I mean).

I'm sold. I believe they make a difference.

Perhaps the gap between your trail run and this mornings ride was to short to feel the effects of your quartely trail run, later tonight you should start feeling it... :P

So do these overtightlycra pants work, thinking of trying them out with the hope of assisting recovery during Epic?

Can i just wear my wiffs lycra tights (size S) on my Size XL legs?
