I shave because on a hot day it feels (maybe it’s just me justifying the fact that I shave my legs) as if my legs are a bit cooler. The science part of it is probably that because there is no hair to trap the moisture it evaporates faster and thus giving the cooler feel. I don't know if this makes at all sense but my legs, at least on the surface, feels cooler with no hair and yes the massage thing is also a good reason. I mean, you start with shaving your legs - but where do you stop ;-) (PS - i don't know why, but i think that i might land-up shaving my legs, sooner or later. Getting too many comments form the other cyclists while I try to concentrate on my racing. I know that this is not a good reason – but neither are all the other reasons given up to now.) Was not too sore and don't need to do it as often as shaving Ha...I used to wax too....not been riding the lycra bike for a while, so i'm back to my gorilla roots, but if your leg hair is short a wax is not at all sore....and you get to make chit chat with the pretty girls who work in the salon so it's a win win!!
