The pros nevva use bar ends.

Must be a weight reduction strategy... <_<

 

Not true - loads of pros use bar ends - See Hermida, Sauser, Shurter to name a few

Look on the cover of the new ride mag,Adrien Niyonshuti uses them.Also Yolandi de Villiers.Alot of pros in fact.

Does everybody use them these days?

 

Do they really add benefit to your riding?

 

All depends how comfortable you want to be on your hardtail or dual suspension bike. There is no right or wrong, just everyones own opinion.

and if you get them hooked on trees and go over your handle bars, well then you just cant aim straight can you :P

Ya I did done back to back 3 hr plus rides this passed weekend and I for the first time in 5 years thought of them... But I think thats cause my right wrist is buggered cause I made my own "fix" when I broke it in my 2nd year :P Lekker doff, But the thought of doc and a scalple blade made me faint so ya. I fixed it myself and wrote with my left hand for 3 months..Wrist was never the same :blush:

 

Back to barends..

 

Are they UUUgly? yes,

Will I get them? No

 

Toughen up.:P

Niki uses them....

 

Even Nikki knows that if you really, really have to use them, they only go on straight/flat bars.
