Pole based entirely on perception is like asking what colour is nicer - purple or orange - no point really...

All the consumer awards are based on perception and personal choice.

Would that be a chromed pole or a stainless steel pole????????

What will the qualifying criteria be?

People just shouting out names of shops that I will never visit, does not give me any idea of what to expect or what the shop is like.

Some might have a great relationship with the owners and staff of a specific shop while a noob walking into the shop wont get the special little favors that the other guy does. Like getting your bike fixed after the shop has been closed already, that type of stuff.

Really, since we are an online community, should we not judge the best online bike shop?

We can look at, delivery times, shopping experience, technical advice, returns, etc.

But then you can end it here!

Chain Reaction Cycles wins the International award

and CWConline wins the Local award!

Yup you are right..... It can end right here....... Asking cyclists...... Or Wielnawers for that matter, to agree is not attainable.

The question had no rulz and you cannot change it now to suit your own taste.

I submit www.chainreactioncycles.com

'Toppie (Big H) - the question was about LBS - Local Bike Shop...............you now want to place your "rulz".....

Ask for the criteria, but the original post was pertaining to LBS..............unless, of course, you don't know what LBS stands for.......

The way I see it if it happens is we get a few hubbers in each area that are willing to go and visit the shop. Sometimes to buy even if its just a tube and sometimes to browse etc .We draw up a list of items that we all look for in a LBS service attudie price etc and it gets marked as such. wont be a quick thing will take a few months etc

Any shop that you can be nominated, maybe have a sperate one for online shops so CWC,Evans, CRC and others can be put against each other.

Maybe Admin would sponser a banner to sayLBS of the year as voted by Hubbers.

They do it for golf courses, hotels resturants etc.
