  1. Playing around last week at the grandparents with the 4 y/o on the halfwheeler and the 6 y/o doing balance bike things on his bike 😆 Great fun being able to enjoy the laughter and smiles with my boys. I'm often instructed to go faster from behind to make sure we win 🤣 JP.mp4 JH.mp4
  2. I guess Du Toitskloof and Bainskloof should probably get "honorable mentions" too https://www.strava.com/segments/1882047?filter=overall https://www.strava.com/segments/4263558
  3. You can always ask Irma of Irmfit if she knows of someone on the Hermanus side, otherwise if Durbanville is close enough she is a good option. https://irmfit.co.za/
  5. Sure, I responded to your PM but don't mind sharing the addresses here too: These are the email addresses I used, you get read receipts but with very little else in response. It is quite frustrating productsupport@garmin.com crmatlas.2@garmin.com gsainfo@garmin.com morne.smith@garmin.com
  6. Take Fairtrees Rd (the one you start into, but turn right), left at the first robot into Legato (away from the golf course), continue till the second circle, hang a right down Brackenfell Blvd all the way to Bottelary. You will likely get a lot of Brackenfell cyclists also going back home that way.
  7. Very much "C. Roadie - weekend warrior" here 😂
  8. https://tygerbergmtb.co.za/trail/stairway-to-heaven/ It is at Meerendal
  9. Maybe take a read through this thread, seems that everything around that bridge is very dodgy and a risk
  10. Technically it was yesterday, I'm still a bit broken today 🥴
  11. You can take your bicycle along on the bus, on the condition that there is space available on the bus which might be somewhat difficult during peak hours. And if 2 people climb on the bus with bicycles it will be full 😂 Safe spaces to park your bike at the stations - nope, does not exist.
  12. This might be a good place to start: https://www.capetown.gov.za/City-Connect/Have-your-say/Issues-open-for-public-comment/draft-walking-and-cycling-strategy
  13. It was good meeting and chatting to you en-route. We had a lekker time rolling with your group between the support zones 😃
  16. Some of my club mates did a ride to Rooiels at the end of October which seemed to go fine.
  17. It took me to a nice view of our mountain this morning ☺️
  18. Okay, no worries. They don't need to test, I can tell them it works 🤣 Only irritation is that they insist on not using external cadence sensors but only from the trainer, which is is only a guestimate Anyways, back to the OP's topic now
  19. Where do you see that? I have been using my wheel on Tacx Vortex without any issues on Mywhoosh, connected via ANT+ or Bluetooth. I just see a list of recommended trainers on their site...
  20. I've been using a Forza strap from Takealot for quite a while now and have not had issues. Much cheaper than the genuine Garmin strap https://www.takealot.com/forza-premium-heart-rate-monitor-strap-replacement/PLID73131454
  21. I would guess it is because they have watched Top Gun too many times and feel the "need for speed" too much 😆
  22. I see Evobikes has them on their website, perhaps drop Janos an email. https://evobikes.co.za/product-category/components/road-bike-parts/r-brakes/?swoof=1&pa_manufacturer=swissstop&really_curr_tax=361-product_cat
  23. Mine works fine - ANT+ dongle in laptop and picks up the HRM first time. Haven't tried casting HR from my watch as it is not necessary. Dalk is dit daai OPPO foon van jou wat nie ANT+ doen nie? My minor irritation currently is that mywhoosh does not pick up and use my Garmin cadence sensor as they apparently only support power&cadence from the trainer. So I have to live with what my trainer thinks my cadence is.
  24. Another thumbs up for Extreme lights - the connector on my one light's battery pack has been giving connection issues recently. Popped in to the shop today, technician had a look and replaced the battery cable. 15mins in and out, no mess, no fuss, just good service
  25. Tour de Addo has come across my feed once or twice. Not a race, but it seems a nice experience if that is your kind of thing (and you have the budget) https://tourdeaddo.com/
