  1. I have the normal Scalwbe with reinf side walls on with Stans kit. So far no problems but in my opinion not too hot in the mud.
  2. Also used Jenson USA before. Excellant service
  3. I am sure somebody had them on exhibition at the outdoor show at Kayalami a couple months ago. Was quite expensive...
  4. Depending on the model (year) it has a treaded fork. BBB do a 1" insert/adopter which should do the trick or upgrade to a carbon fork w-endfan2007-07-25 23:31:51
  5. I have FSA on my mtb without any problems, but believe that backup in SA is a problem and that Cape Cycles are no longer the agents for it. There is also reports of the one crank arm coming loose on a number of bikes. I know Dad's have a pair of Crank Brothers cranks on their shelves but dont know the price. The latest "What Mountainbike" magazine has a nice comparison on mtb cranks and my choise will be between LX or XT w-endfan2007-07-21 06:18:30
  6. I think this ads are brilliant!!!
  7. Guessing 7800 = Double chain ring 7803 = Triple chain ring
  8. It seems if you have 2 problems, chain suck and wheels not running smoothly. Do as Spinnekop suggested and put a thinner grease on. I am sure Bontrager wheels indicated a 400km "ride in" period, and that you may need similar km on your CC's. w-endfan2007-05-10 00:06:22
  9. To stay within your budget, i would go for oversize SCUD bar and stem
  10. Nortwave caters also nicely for broad feet
  11. If i am not mistaken, all three above brands are build at the Merida factory.

  13. On a Mtb, how does the wear and tear on Q Rings compare to the other brands (Sram, Shimano, etc). Not talking about negligence.
  14. TitusTi, you are right, Cycles Africa is the Manitou dealers. Think the guys who are doing Kona bikes are the Marzocchi agents in SA. Think they are from Cape Town if not mistaken.
  15. Has anybody built their own light...? What kind of light and battery do you use, or is this option not worth the effort?
  16. You can insert an extention piece from BBB as a last resort but rather speak to Omnico first.
  17. Schalbe and some Continental tubes have a removable core. Bought some Contis from Fritz 2 weeks ago - R30/tube.
