I tried to buy a frame once and the guys address was in sandton, when I told him the I was close by he came up with a story that he had to move his bussiness to Kimberly and he will send the frame there. I know someone in Kimberly and said that my mate can fetch it from him there. He eventually gave me the address. Googled it and it looked really dodge so I called cops to see if bike shop was legit! The address he gave me was opposite the cop shop and no, no legit cycle shop

It has come to a point where I do not do races anymore!!! Rather go out and do a training ride and only do a race or two a year. Same in the running races!!! How do u justify charging a fee of like 30bick for a 10km race!!! Crazy!!

I flew straight to Abu dhabi! I got a quote for wide and me. Staying in the race hotel or Hilton close to start for 4 days & flights and it came to about 25k

My wife does not mind me cycling. Infancy she says I must go for a peddle from time to time!!! But hells bells, when I buy a new frame or bike she wants to bliksem me!! Ha ha ha!!! But she gets over it eventually

Forgot to mention. Go to website and register ur interest in the race. They then send u an email that gives u 72 hours entry preference before they open for everyone else!! Also to be involved in a race where it is a star studded field like that makes the cost of the race worth it. It is like a world champs that attracts the best athletes due to prize money!!

I did the race this year and it was absolutely amaizing, I only did the shorter distance though (1,5 swim, 100bike and 10run. If u have the cash then go for it. I'm doing it again next year!!!! I stayed in the radison Blu on Yas island. Right across from the F1 circuit!! But next year I'll stay in the area of start and finish!! Total for 2 people, flights & accommodation came to 28k but that was for 9 days!!! I'm doing Miami 70.3 in October and I'm gonna be there for a week and it's 19k just for me!!

When traveling from krugersdorp to Pretoria there I is always a huge gathering of MTB riders on the weekends!! How do I get there!! What it the place called and does someone have the address of the place?? (maybe gps coordinates)

While we are all very quick to point fingers and bad mouth local bike stores, I need to say thank u to West Rand cycles for great service and always been willing to help where they can. The shop has everything u need and the guys running it are young and eager to help. I used to go around from shop to shop looking for best bargains but I will only be shopping at West Rand Cycles from now!! Hats off to u guys

Tribe Multisports is the best tri shop I have been to!!! Dave Harrington and Steve are the owners and the are in shop all day (hands on approach) which makes huge difference!!!! I won't shop anywhere else for tri goodies. Big up guys

I flew to Abu dhabi for Abu dhabi tri and lady from ethihad airways charged me $20 per kilogram for my bike bag!!! R4000 to get my bike there!!! The guys were such dip sh!ts.
