  1. Eish Bad day! May I ask were did you find the results?
  2. .To answer you second question. If I stand with my feet on the pedals and throw all my weight down, I can move the fork . So in my mind it is locked
  3. No I don't own one. Normally I just left the shock it as is. The mechanic that work on my previous bike told me that once pumped, I don't need to bother, because it hardly ever need to be pumped. (He probably knew I would pump it every week like my tires. But I will phone the LBS tomorrow and ask them to have a look.
  4. Thanks
  5. So with my new bike came the Fox Float 29 Fork.......with remote lockout. I was quite impressed as I wanted that for a long time...... So 2 weeks later ......... The complaints start. What bothers me is that I can not for the life of me figure out when the fork is locked out or not. Looking at the cable, my common sense tells me it is locked out, but there is absolute minimal difference. Am I doing something wrong? Because my with my previous bike the difference was huge. ( Rox Reba or something) Today, in the race I almost had a wipe out on one of the big rocky downhill as I would have liked the fork to be much more "open" going down. But on the other hand....when locked and I stand going uphill, I can feel the fork sag or give in on every pedalstroke which I don't want also. Or is this what you get with remote lockout?
  6. Had no intention doing the race. But with my groupride gone bad, ( Started to be mtb, then road and then mtb. So l pitched with mtb and road shoes) I ended at my house at 8h00 all dressed up and nowhere to go. Remembered the race and decided to give it a shot. It was one of the nicest mtb routes l have done in a while. Some technical downhills (rocky as hell) but l managed and a mixture of single track for km and km and short sections of nice open gravel roads (for me to make up time ) No mud (apart from the odd splatter here and there) and a all over nice route. Well done! to the "route master" Edit :I did the 32km

  24. You can buy the best bike you can afford. .....When you tired they all weight 1 ton. Even if that bike is marketed with words like technology, stiffness, stability etc........etc. If you are not fit you are going to die out there. And suffer you will.

    Motivation

There was this picture doing the rounds on facebook saying something like riding your bike everyday makes you awesome. Standing on a mountain, overlooking a town, still fast asleep, knowing that 99,99% will not experience what you are now........ever....,makes it Awesome. Doing intervals at 100%HR, gasping for air, sweat dripping .............makes you Awesome. ..........And thats what l missed the last month - with my bikes stolen and the whole process of getting it back - is to be Awesome.
