I beg to differ. As a girl/lady/female l dont want someone to be considerate of me just because of my gender. But l do agree that there should me a mutual respect between all MTB ers or cyclists -for that matter- irrespective of gender.

Very scares skill you have Onetime. Not everyone or anyone can do it. l used to work for fabrication co and we had all our days finding the right employees. l answered the phone so l am not one, but to answer a phone at a fabrication co enquires a lot more skill than anyone might think.

Yes they came back today. Broke the nicely fixed gate and door and took the MTB as well. I could handle the road bike and with the knowledge that I still have another bike, but tonight I have no humour and I am sick to my stomach. It also means that as long as I stay in this house, I wont be able to own a bike. That makes me even sicker. Me not a happy chappy tonight.

Thank you all. I eventually was presented with a much better deal in my opinion. An older bike with Ultegra groupset and very light. l decided that I will rather take that bike.

On a few occasions I tried to ride with....lets cal it something other than lycra. (To the café on the corner type of ride) It felt frumpy. To much flapping and too much material all over. I guess I am used to lycra then.

This thread is not a good one. It spoils me for any future purchases It opens the world to bikes an technology not known to me and most importantly..... It widens the gap between what I want and what I can afford exponentially.
