Yes I Agree with Happy Martin but would like to add that as parent I can discuss the issue with my child and give my perspective on the subject,point out the pro and cons but unfortunately the child child will still do as he likes and makes his own decisions. Unless you guard him like a hawk .... you can only hope he respects your ideas enough to give up his own. Or if you lucky sees it the way you sees it.
Fell of my bike a week back and broke my pelvis bones. Stuck to my bed for 6 weeks. I am seriously falling behind........... But worst is not riding. Cant wait. So beginning of next year I will be back on my bike. Hopefully.
We did a 3 day trip from Matjiesfontein to Paarl the first weekend in Oct. It was really awsome!!! Not the same technical challenge as your trip, but really something I would like to do again.
We also did the route this morning. We had to get off our bikes at the top of Sir Lowery's and push our bikes through the neck as the wind pushed us off our bikes. Luckily the wind calmed down later in the day. Took us bit longer and we also made a detour via Bottelary RD to add distance.
Now if you all just kept quite I would have been happy with the black botlle. I thought that WAS the goody bag or botlle then. I think they refer to the food at the finish that ran out early.
