  2. what he said
  3. At the back it's relaxed at the front not so much http://1.1.1.2/bmi/cdn.bikehub.co.za/forum//public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.png
  4. Is it just me or does he remind anyone else of the grinch.
  5. IMO the higher you go with Shimano the more delicate and 'finiky' the group set gets. 105 is fairly bullet proof and can handle a fair amount of abuse. 105 is plenty group set for the majority of riders.
  6. Scored this for my seventh wedding anniversary present from the missus. She rocks!
  7. Yep taking the missus and the baby and staying in Langebaan for Friday night. First time we are going away since the baby was born. Should be interesting.
  8. That's about right.
  9. That does not look to bad. Better than i expected:-)
  10. Scary when it happens. Glad nothing serious happened from there actions.
  11. Awesome ride. Wannabe thanks for organising the ride as well as baby sitting the very very social group with Onetime. It was much appreciated guys.
  12. Got my Edge 500 from them. Great service.
  13. Smoked for a similar time and can only tell you what worked for me. I quit drinking and smoking at the same time. Most of times I 'relapsed' on previous attempts was when I was drinking. I wanted to quit more than I wanted to drink. Went cold turkey with both and have not had a smoke in over 4 years. Side effect is I probably drink once a month at the most which is saving me an absolute fortune in $. TBH the biggest hurdle to quitting smoking is in the head. beat that and it all falls neatly into place. Good Luck
  14. Might be a bitter pill to swallow but I do think that is the correct decision.
  15. Everyone is different. Ours is all one pot. We have separate bank accounts but I don't think of it as my money or her money. We are a team a partnership and it is our money same as if there are issues they are our issues. That is part and parcel of being married in my opinion but as i said at the start everyone is different.
  16. Done the debt thing and almost got swallowed whole and spat out. Was in way over my head and struggling. Decided that enough was enough and cleared all debt. now the only debt we have is the house. Cars are paid off and toys are payed cash. If we do not have it we do not spend it. Life is much less stressful and much sweeter. Use it don't use it.
  17. besides the hooting I thought that was actually all quite polite. I would think we have all seen much worse than that.
  18. @Mads - awesome. thanks
  19. small issue. Does anyone have the gps coordinates of the garage or slightly more detailed directions. Have not been to Stellenbosch in something like 15 years and before then when I was there I was never sober. Upshot is I have no idea where the garage or Helshoogte is.
  20. Ideas for a charity my vote would be Durbanville Children's Home. Those kids deserve a happy xmas as much as the rest of us.
  21. Riding is what is fun. Yes i want to be faster but not if i stop having fun. Cheating means it stops being fun.
  22. Valid point. I guess peanut butter and honey does not cut it for most people. :-)
  23. Am I missing something. Why would an amature dope. They are funrides. Confused
  24. Possibly a ride along table view blouberg area.
  25. Lucky wife! You (and her) are more patient than I was. Paid the extra courier fee to get it 1 day quicker. I am all for instant gratification.
