  1. Anything in Durban planned in the near future?
  2. Where is best to start from and pay? Thanks for the response!
  3. Anyone know if these trails are still going? Going up that side this weekend and would like to ride some trails instead of slogging away on the road.
  4. If whatever you order is only going to be in stock towards the end of May, do you still pay now or only pay once it arrives at their warehouse? Edit: Canyon confirmed that you will need to make payment two weeks prior to estimated delivery date.
  5. Highly doubt it... unfortunately.
  6. He raced pretty much every single Roag series Race in KZN last year. Edit: He only raced one race in 2017.
  7. Going to get the tax declaration filled out and sent in as well. Can't wait for that, hit the 80 active days super early in the year...
  8. Yip, just gotten 100 points for that. Just fixed my Safe Days though, so hopefully can get some points before the year end. Otherwise it's down to Platinum...
  9. Done the questionnaires but haven't taken photos, let me get on that!
  10. Need 170 points more to stay on Private club... Any suggestions? Still need to go have my vehicle assessed at TWT which is 40 so that leave's me with 130 to get... If there are two dependents can they also have their cars assessed and more points obtained? Tax return is only done in Jan so can't get points for that. Safe days is activated but doesn't work so that's goodbye to 80 points
  11. Haven’t posted here in a while. Latest purchases: Rockshox Sid SE fork from the 2019 Top Fuel Not a purchase but a frame spray Invisiframe protection over the whole frame Spez Power saddle Enve Seatpost Time to save up for a carbon front hoop and then my bike is complete!
  12. These just arrived on my desk... Thanks Buycycle!
  13. I wasn't looking for one, was just having a general chat with them and told them I rode a buddies one and how wicked the lefty is and then they explained they've tried to stock them but they can't get it right. Guess that could be the case, but I don't think so, they pretty honest with me about everything and I'm sure they wouldn't have brought it up for no reason, but who knows.
  14. A few of those shops have since closed down and none of them stock Cannondale. My LBS stocks Omnico products, just can't get 'Dales (apparently).
  15. Agree with you fully. And they are fully invested in every brand they sell. One has to be given an opportunity to succeed though.
  16. All good and well apart from the fact that there is only one 'dealer' in KZN and it's CL. My LBS sells plenty of bikes but apparently no matter what they have tried they can't get it right. Bit unfair if you ask me, don't think CL needs much protection.
  17. Heard the same thing. My LBS has been trying to get them in for a while with plenty customers wanting them but Omnico apparently won't give in due to there being a big dealer in the ''area''.
  18. Mix of all the routes pretty much, don't ever just stick on one route.
  19. So blessed to get to call it my training ground. So many different trails to choose from.
  20. Time for some new tubeless tape.
  21. Barzo in 2.25 is 750g (Claimed) Mezcal in 2.25 is 690g (Claimed) Didn't actually weigh them. I'd rather have a few extra grams of weight than stopping and plugging or DNF.
  22. Ended up going the Barzo (F) Mezcal ® and haven't looked back. That Barzo is something else compared to the Ardent Race or Ikon and seems to roll decently as well!
  23. Early birthday present from me, to me. New drivetrain and a quarq.
  24. Can imagine the traction must be great with that combo but I’m racing XC. So, far too much Tyre, far too much weight and far too much rolling resistance for me. Thanks for the response though!
  25. So my tyres are nearing the end of their life. Currently running Maxxis Ardent Race 2.3 on front (24mm internal rim) and Maxxis Ikon 2.2 on back (27mm internal rim). Have quite enjoyed the combination but I feel the ikon is lacking a bit of traction so interested in trying a different combination. Have been looking at the Vittoria range but a bit confused with what combination will be similar to what I currently have. I have read that the Barzo/Saguaro combination works quite well but then I have seen that the mezcal is even faster rolling so wouldn’t that be a better rear? Quite hard to find any reviews on the net because I think they have changed the tread pattern so often.
